The Future of Artificial Intelligence: who sets the limits?
Have you ever wondered what our lives will be like when Artificial Intelligence (AI) no longer just makes suggestions but can predict our desires or check whether we comply with the law? What if, instead of being merely supportive, its role becomes one of guiding—or even being restrictive?
On Friday, May 29, 2026, 12:00 – 13:00, we invite you to an interactive workshop, where we will jointly explore technologies that are already part of our lives, such as cameras that detect traffic violations, applications that monitor driving attention, or systems that predict our purchases.
Together, we will try to answer critical questions:
How much safety do we need, and how much privacy are we willing to sacrifice?
How much can an algorithm control us?
Does the final say belong to humans or to machines?
What exactly will we do?
–Technology stations: We will explore five modern AI technologies and discuss which groups benefit from them and which may be at risk.
–Values map: We will place these technologies on a “map,” trying to find the balance between freedom and protection.
-Scenario workshop: We will travel to the year 2031! We will take on roles—such as citizen, programmer, or politician—and design our own scenarios for how society should function with AI.
How can you participate? The event is open and requires no technical knowledge. Our goal is for society’s voice to be heard and to develop proposals that will be included in a toolkit for designers of artificial intelligence systems.
A certificate of participation will be provided, and some lucky participants will win a unique experience: VR driving simulation with AI scenarios!
Please note that the event will be held in Greek.
