Bridging Generations Project

Connecting generations through emotional intelligence

In a world facing growing social and demographic challenges, ageism has become a critical barrier to inclusion and well-being. According to the WHO, 50% of Europeans experience age-related prejudice, affecting both young and old. This phenomenon contributes to social disconnection, inequality, and declining mental health. “Bridging generations through emotional intelligence,” an Erasmus+-funded project (2024-1-PL01-KA220-ADU-000243946), addresses this issue by promoting intergenerational reconnection and combating stereotypes.

A dynamic and inclusive Erasmus+ project designed to connect youth and older adults across Europe. This initiative brings together communities from Poland, Spain, Romania, Slovenia, and Greece to address the growing issue of age-based discrimination and foster strong intergenerational bonds.

Our mission is to challenge ageism and youngism through innovative, evidence-based approaches rooted in emotional intelligence and non-formal learning. By empowering both young and older individuals to understand one another better, we aim to promote emotional well-being, social inclusion, and active community engagement.
