Training Course: GATES C1 – (25th of February – 1st of March of 2019)
Participant(s): Konstantina Kouratou, Georggia Douklia, Maria Katsaiti & Margariti Georgia
What did you learn/gain from this training program?
Maria: Τhis project was my first experience abroad. I spent very nice time, I met new people, made new friends. I really enjoyed Spain and the warm reception and hospitality. I enjoyed the activities, the games, the afternoon visits and, of course, Albacete. leaving, I feel fuller, more empowered, more knowledgeable and more ready for my professional life. ideas are infinite.
Konstantina: I am a postgraduate student in Economics department. This program was the perfect opportunity for me not only to apply my theoretical knowledge on entrepreneurship, but also to gain more knowledge on that field, as we took many interesting sessions. One of the best sessions I have ever attended was the one with the lego pieces on the second day of the program. We needed to build with the lego pieces our social entrepreneurship idea and then, working on teams, create a brand new idea with a social impact. So, team building and problem solving was the skills that we improved by attending this training course. Furthermore, we needed to create our social enterprise, based on problems that Albacete faces nowadays. It was a unique experience with a lot to gain!
Georgia D.: This training program was a great experience for me. I learned so many things about social entrepreneurship and our trainers were incredible and very inspiring. During the week, I learned many interesting and innovative things about teamwork, to choose your partners wisely, to believe in yourself, be creative and open-minded. Except from the daily sessions, I found the visits that we had also very interesting, because we had the opportunity to meet people who have already helped so many others to build their business idea and they showed us their workplace. Finally, the two things that come first in my mind from the whole week are the Lego training with Mr. Daniel Weiss and the last day that we had to build our own business idea and then present it. The experience was great and also the feedback very helpful for the future.
Georgia M.: The activities we did initially were amazing, we got to know ourselves better and we found out what we were capable of doing everything. We further developed our knowledge of youth and social entrepreneurship and we all took a step closer to realizing our dreams, to success. We came into contact with a foreign country and we were called to cope with difficult circumstances. An example of a difficult situation we experienced was the inability to communicate with citizens because they only knew the Spanish language and little or no English. Nevertheless, we had the chance to come into contact with some of them and to develop friendships. About the game we played, it was quite pleasant, it showed us that there is not only one way to success and also showed us a bit about how entrepreneurship is in the real world. Finally, something very interesting was our visits in some businesses, which showed us the variety of choices we have to build our future just as we want it to.
Was it your first participation in an Erasmus+ Youth Project ; What are your impressions in general? Will you participate again in a similar action with InterMediaKT?
Maria: This TC has helped me develop skills such as military and how we have to sacrifice something to achieve something else, competition and how can I respond to critical and difficult situations, perception and understanding of diversity, to plan a self-prophecy, ways to make my idea understandable.
Kontsantina: GATES project wasn’t the first Erasmus+ program to attend , but it was the most interesting one! We learnt a lot of things, and we had the opportunity to apply our knowledge and combine it with some practical activities. This is something that university and formal education in general doesn’t give you. We met a lot of new people from different countries of Europe and we lived the ultimate Erasmus+ experience in Albacete, Spain! I would definitely participate in a similar action with InterMediaKT and I am so looking forward to it!
Georgia D.: It was my second participation in an Erasmus + Youth Project with InterMediaKT. In general my impressions couldn’t be better. During the whole week, I noticed how well organized was our team and the help that we gained all the time. To be more specific, not only the things that we did but also the people that we met couldn’t make me feel more grateful. Between the members of my team the atmosphere was amazing , our cooperation was very good and we had a great time there. I will definitely participate again in a similar (and not only ) action with the amazing team of InterMediaKT because they give so great opportunities to young people not only to learn new things but also to explore the world and communicate with other cultures.
Georgia M.: It was the second time I went to Erasmus + program. The truth is that at first, I was feeling reluctant, as my previous experience was good enough. But it turned out that this program was even more special.
