Read the impressions of our participants, after their participation in GILM training course in Patras, Greece during from 17 November to 11 December 2016.
What did you learn/gain from this training program? (Did the organizing, objectives and outcomes met your expectations?)
Georgia: Firstly, we have to mention that from the first day until the last one this training program was very interesting. Personally without having any prior knowledge in Business Administration, this program helped me understand many basic features, as the meaning of marketing and how it helps running a company. The trainers were well organized and their learning methods were very good.Overall the program met my expectations.
Nikos: This programme was really constructive for all the participants. We received many experiences and knowledge about entrepreneurship. That were not only theoretical but practical too, because we did a lot of workshops and learnt how a business works as we visited them in their offices. The whole project overcame my expectations as it was really organized and the lessons were really comprehensible.
Konstantina: First of all, the training program was really interesting. It helped me not only summarize my economics knowledge but also extend them. I met lot of people with different culture and different way of thinking so it was easy to compare the economic theory from country to country. But, the training course lasted for too long every day and I take it as a challenge.
Gerasimos: The organizing was really good, we had knowledge of the project and what had to be done from the start and that helped me organize our time for the project. The objectives were unique each time, so I never got bored during the sessions and it helped me be more open-minded about how theory can meet actual situations. The outcomes were really good given the time and the variety of people we involved in the project, so I would say the project met my expectations by far.
Dimitra: First of all, being a part of an international group helped me to understand and get to know other cultures which I’ve never had the opportunity before get in touch with. The fact that we worked as groups helped me to cooperate with the others, even though sometimes I didn’t agree with the others’ opinion or way of thinking. What the majority wanted, that’s what we did and I followed that path. Apart from that, I got the chance to speak up and say my mind, which I haven’t done before. Generally, in most ways, the program met my expectations and I had the chance to learn some theoretical backround which it will surely be helpful in the future for my master degree and I found it interesting to see all the stages that are needed for a startup.
How was the TC atmosphere and the cooperation – brainstorming among the participants?
Georgia: During the program the atmosphere was very friendly. We met people from three different countries , cultures and personalities. At the first the atmosphere was a bit awkward but then everything was fine. The shifting of the teams helped very much to this, after getting to know each other. There was respect among the participants and all the opinions were heard.
Nikos: Generally the atmosphere between the participants was really good. As it is known, at the begging there were some difficulties but day by day everything was better between us and with the organizers. The cooperation was perfect and everyone helped each other that’s why the workshops were completed easily.
Konstantina: The knowledge became fun and fun became knowledge. The presentation was unique and not boring. The cooperation with the trainers was perfect. Due to the particularity of the project (duration 2 weeks), the theme was quite demanding something we faced as a challenge.
Gerasimos: At first I was a little nervous but when we started the project and I got to know the other participants I was really excited. The relations among the participants became friendly quickly and that helped the communication and it became easier for everyone to be themselves. While we were working on the project, more and more ideas started crossing our minds as a result of the friendly and warm atmosphere we had created. In the last days of the project, I became friends with my team so that strengthened our performance and enabled us to become more productive and more organized as we entered the final stage of the project.
Dimitra: It took a while until all the participants get to know each other and feel more comfortable to communicate. However, there were some “exercises” in the beginning that helped us to introduce ourselves and “break the ice”. Some of the participants had experience on training courses which meant that they were more relaxed and had better idea about what we had to do. That was quite helpful most of the times, especially after the formation of the groups.
Was it your first participation in an Erasmus+ Project? What are your impressions/ experiences in general? Would you choose again/recommend InterMediaKT for Erasmus+ activities?
Georgia: This was my first participation in an Erasmus +Project. It was an unique and pleasant experience that will help for sure some time in the future. Finally, I would like to thank InterMediakt for giving me the opportunity to learn and experience all these new things. Being an organization full of energy and will to give amazing opportunities and experiences to each one of us. ΙnterMediakt’s team consists of many considerable persons who organize a lot of different events, courses and congresses. I would definitely choose InterMediakt again and I would recommend it for Erasmus + activities without doubt.
Nikos: It was not my first participation in an Erasmus+ project but it was my first training course. In general this projects have left me the best impressions. It is one of the best experiences that I have faced and I would like to continue doing that. As regards IntermediaKT I will promote their organization to many friends because the guys from the organization were really helpful with us in the whole duration of the project.
Konstantina: It was my first participation in an Erasmus+ project. The experience was great and I want to participate in similar projects in the future. I will prefer the InterMediaKT again in the future but also I will recommend InterMediaKT to my friends. It’s really important that in a such small city as Patras there is an organization like InterMediaKT that promote the intercultural knowledge.
Gerasimos: Yes, it was my first participation in an Erasmus+ Project. I am very happy I took part in that project, because it helped me to learn new things, not only in theory but in action and I believe that will help me in the future. During the project, I also had the opportunity to get to know new cultures, new people and make new friends that helped me get a better view about the world. I will try to make the things and the different points of view I learned to happen during my college experience and in my life in general as well. I would definitely choose and recommend InterMediaKT again for Erasmus+ activities because they were really helpful and friendly, especially for an inexperienced person in Erasmus+ projects like me.
Dimitra: It was not my first participation in an Erasmus+ Project but this one was totally different because last time it was organized by the university and I’d travelled to another country for 4 months. But I could say that overall it’s quite the same feeling because you get to meet people from other countries and through conversations you learn more about their cultures. Not only I would recommend InterMediaKT to others for Erasmus+ activities but I would also choose to take part again in another project. They were all really friendly and willing to help me with anything I needed.
