U.S. EMBASSY ATHENS sponsored a 3-week intensive internship program for Grigoris Archimandritis, at Techbridge Girls, in Oakland, California. Grigoris is the co-founder and president of InterMediaKT, a Greek-NGO based in Patras, that aims to promote education, technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and social inclusion.

During his externship, Grigoris had the opportunity to learn about best practices and receive know-how from U.S. experts on how to educate and equip young girls with STEM skills and managed to also build networks with international contacts. This program also enabled the Greek intern to explore ways in which American non-profit organizations use technology to address vulnerable groups in society and expand their activities to these groups.

Techbridge Girls is a California-based non-profit organization that aims to inspire, educate, and equip girls from low-income communities by delivering high-quality STEM programming and to empower and encourage girls to thrive in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
