Meeting of the United States Ambassador with New Entrepreneurs in Patras.
New Ambassador of the United States, Mr. Geoffrey R. Pyatt, visited Patras and met the young businessmen in the region.
In the context of the actions of IntermediaKT and POS4work – Coworking Space, on Friday, July 21, 2017, US Ambassador Geoffrey R. Pyatt visited Patras and met with the region’s novice businesses. The meeting was held at POS4work, the Patras collaborative site and attended by 9 companies and a student organization.

The business representatives invited to the Round Table presented their work to the new Ambassador of the United States and then discussed with him about the challenges they face and the potential of the region. An opportunity was given to present views on various aspects of Greek entrepreneurship and to exchange ideas and advice between the participants and the Ambassador. The importance of access to finance was emphasized, as well as the need to change the image of Greece abroad. The participants also agreed that the presence of major companies in Patras in the past, such as Atmel, played an important role in the development of entrepreneurship in the region as it showed the way for many young entrepreneurs.
Mr Pyatt spoke with each participant separately, responding to the concerns and asking for clarification. He then presented the available actions of the United States Embassy and explained how the Greek start-ups can rely on them.

Mr. Geoffrey R. Pyatt received a gift card from POS4work for a gift and left leaving a “Good luck to the teams in #Patras who are building the future of Greece” on one of the walls of the site.
The companies that participated in the Round Table were Prosvasis.co, Meazon, Tobea, Spothub, Sammy, Phee, eNVy Softworks, InSybio, Systserv and the student organization Mindspace Patras. IntermediaKT is a non governmental / non-profit organization that acts as an intermediary for vocational education, training and innovation and aims to support, raise awareness and empower actions of business and entrepreneurship, and POS4work – Coworking Space is the first collaborative site in Patras that offers through its actions support to the ecosystem of the new enterprises in Patras.
