Our study visit in Slettestrand was a complete educational and cultural experience which taught us how to include sustainability not only in our everyday lives but also the possibilities and examples of how to implement it in NGOs and businesses. One visit that should be highlighted in particular was the one of the Nordic Folkcenter, a center focused on the developing and testing renewable energy technologies that will replace fossil fuels and atomic power and promote the sustainability, resilience and development of local communities around the world. We were guided around the premises and given more information on how such a center works and evolves. It was a really informative and interesting visit that provided food for thought on how such ideas can be implemented. – Aggeliki
After 6 challenging days we managed to strike a spark within ourselves and we got more enlightened and inspired by good examples and best practices of Denmark about sustainability and entrepreneurship. This project also gave us more ideas for future projects, offered us motivation and power. I’m more than grateful to be given this opportunity and I can say I returned back home with more answers than I expected. – Katerina
During the project we saw many ways in which a business or a social movement can be sustainable. Denmark was the best place to see that and especially Sletterstrand. Everywhere, in shops, cafeterias, hotels etc the UN sustainable goals were public and everyone tried to follow them. It was an amazing opportunity to see these practices in everyday life and to came up with ideas that can be followed in Greece. – Nephele.
The project introduced us to new fresh ideas that businesses can follow on order to be sustainable and helo the planet. It was very interesting and intense to see everything in action. We visited the Renewable Energy Center, and the Better World Fashion and other places that informed us about sustainability. It was an amazing opportunity and I believe that helped me to understand the meaning of good actions – Andreas.
