For the eleventh consecutive year Vodafone Foundation welcomes the winners of the program World of Difference. The 10 young people are ready to face the challenges of our time and will work for 6 months in the Non-Profit Organization of their choice, while the Vodafone Foundation covers their salary.

Despite the difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ten winners of the program – aged 18 to 35 – motivated by the belief that technology can change the world for the better, managed to stand out in the program. Thus, by utilizing digital tools and adapting their way of working to the new data, the winners will work for strengthening NGOs and their beneficiaries, with the aim of eliminating stereotypes, empowering people with disabilities, promoting literacy in children, cultivating social & environmental awareness, but also strengthening social entrepreneurship.

One of this year’s 10 winners of the program is Maria Kotsoni.

Through her six-month work, Maria will create the digital platform “Web Guide for Caregivers”, which will improve the mental and physical health of both family caregivers and the people they care for and who are particularly tested during the period of the pandemic.
