What did you learn/gain from this training program?
This program helped me to understand matters relating to the Democracy, my active citizenship and how I can really offer in society as well as the importance and citizenship in Europe. The organization and team ONE EUROPE was quite good as they offered us enough information from the very first day, for the city of Berlin and our easy transportation. Also accommodation and our food was excellent from the hotel. The program was quite educational as well informed about the actions taken to promote, encourage and support European citizenship and active participation of young people in social and political issues. The results and information have shown that young people do not participate in social and political issues because they have not the appropriate information and the provision of information about them. Also interesting were the actions we did on human rights as well, we could get in touch with ordinary people and exchanged views on how they unerstand the issue, but also cooperation in small groups for the promotion and use of various programs through Erasmus +. Finally, the program fully met my expectations as emphasis was given to the concepts of democracy and active participation in social issues and all participants showed tremendous interest and helped to implement the activities. It has definitely “raised the debate on the future of Europe”.
It was your first participation in an Erasmus+ Youth Project ; What are your impressions in general? Will you participate again in a similar action with InterMedi@KT?
It was my first participation in an Erasmus + Youth Project and was one of the best experiences I ever had. In this program we have been able to travel to Germany and get to know the city of Berlin and to get in touch with participants from all over Europe. So having this facility managed through discussions and various activities to know each other better and to exchange views on European issues such as the active participation of young people in social and political issues not only at national level but at European level. It was a very interesting experience because we learned that through the differences and similarities of European countries, the most important part is unity in diversity, and that this is not just a phrase. Finally, I would like to take part again and to participate in a similar activity InterMedi@KT as the cooperation that we had was excellent and gave us the opportunity to be informed and understand issues that we did not know.

This project offered much more that I expected. The trainers, managed to convey difficult and quite vague concepts such as “citizenship” in a way that was not only understanding, but also provoked you to research deeper in the matter and really reflect on the concept. During the project we explored the European Union as a concept, what it means and the possibilities. We also tried to find our common european citizenship, debate on it’s existence and argue if it’s a feasible goal or something that belongs to an utopian European Union.Furthermore, we talked about how youth can really make a change and be a catalyst for a better, more just Europe. On this topic we did some youth action, trying to promote various actions such as “no hate movement “ and then drafted our own Erasmus+ programmes. The trainers offered mentorship and helped with the drafts which where finalised and could really turn into actual projects, something truly amazing. All in all , it was an amazing experience where I truly learned a lot and it helped me broaden my horizons .

I can’t think any better way to start my Erasmus+ experience other than this project, it was truly an eye opener. This program not only did offer tangible knowledge and insight on important european issues, but also it also brought together like minded people . This is very important , as through the conversation and the debate, we were able to extract some very interesting results about what we think of Europe and our common european future, if it even exists. Apart from the educational aspect of the program, I have to say that I met awesome people, interesting individuals that really changed the way I think and see things. Conversing with people with different backgrounds and who come from different cultures can truly be enlightening as it offers you insight of other cultures and all those that come with them.Apart from that, I can safely say that I met people that I truly connected to and with whom we try to remain in touch , something truly remarkable given the distance both in land, culture and age.I can say with utmost certainty that is project was only the first of the many that I am going to participate in and even if I manage someday, organise one!

What did you learn/gain from this training program?
Participating in the training course “YES for Europe” I was given the opportunity to understand as much as possible the role of citizens, especially young people in society. The program aimed to trouble about the active participation in political life and the democratic process first at local and then at European level. Furthermore, they studied concepts such as democracy, tolerance, and other human rights and became known programs that promote the development of European citizenship. In a week so I did initially think; the above and then discuss and exchange my views with 25; other participants. Indeed, the processes of non-formal learning all this took place through enjoyable and challenging activities which enabled me to always create within groups and to further realize the importance of cooperation and teamwork; The result for me exceeded my expectations and drove me any concern for the participation to such programs!

When I first participated in an Erasmus+ training course last year, the first thing I remember I did once I went back was to look for another! Participating in this kind of projects is something that I would recommend to everyone because is one of the best ways to; travel learn and have fun in at the same time. My experience in general is extremely nice, I had the opportunity to visit one of my favorite cities with so many young people from all over Europe. People that in just a week’s time become your best friends sometimes! It’s amazing how easily you get close to each other and how many wonderful memories you carry back home! There is also, the new knowledge and the exchange of opinions in a diverse learning environment which has nothing to do with the traditional way we use tο study at school. Of course I can’t wait to participate again in a similar action with InterMedi@KT.

It was the first time I took part in one of the Erasmus + programs and if I be given the opportunity again in collaboration with InterMedi@KT it will be my pleasure. What I was particularly impressed, was that all team members of both the Greek and the other countries participated in all activities and through these created links. Last but not least, was that I would not dream that such a program will change my way of thinking and would give me the opportunity to visit and get to know another country with a different mentality and culture of the country in which I live.
