Annual events
Patras CodeCamp started in 2016 as a mini workshop series about coding and programming, under the framework of Europe Codeweek.
Now, it is an annual multiday event addressing all people who want to learn more about technology and programming, and it includes introductory workshops in programming and web technologies covering a wide range of themes such as Web development, Game development, Programming, STEM & Arduino, Blockchain Technology, Machine learning.
Patras Youth Infoday is an annual event aiming to provide useful information about youth mobility opportunities and programs, through presentations and personal experiences of people who participated in those programs. The event transfers knowledge of the InterMediaKT’s staff and volunteers to young people of Patras.
The Social Bus transports a free training program, open to all those interested in social entrepreneurship and innovation, regardless of studies, gender, and age (as long as they are adults). The aim of the action is to realistically support the local ecosystems and to motivate the participants from the wider area of Patras to create their own businesses with a social orientation. In other words, the social bus turns into Social Bus-iness.
InterMediaKT, in collaboration with Co2gether, the French solidarity organization SECOL and the Patient Care Simulation Labof the Department of Nursing of the University of Patras, collects, repairs and offers sanitary material and walking aids, mobility and transportation aids to the elderly, disabled, uninsured citizens, patients, the poor, refugees, nursing homes, hospitals, health centers and social associations of our local community.
With CO-SOLIDARITY PLATFORM we form a network of solidarity with public institutions, entrepreneurs, social groups, and citizens and create actions with a strong social, economic and environmental impact:
- Offer sanitary material to local social institutions
- Offer walking, mobility and transport aids to vulnerable citizens
- Training for carers and vulnerable groups
- Job creation for vulnerable groups
- Re-use of material
- Creating a local culture of circular economy
“CO-SOLIDARITY PLATFORM” includes an online platform for the free offer and donation of health equipment and mobility aids.
