Digitrans is a networking project for rural stakeholders from all over Europe, and it aims to help develop rural regions in Lower Saxony (Germany), Sardinia (Italy), Patras (Greece), and Brittany (France).

Representatives of the partner organizations from all these countries came together last week in Patras to consider the next steps in developing this initiative. For 2 days, InterMediaKT’s office was a base for discussing innovation, digital practices, and coordinating the next steps on the way to making rural Europe a truly «smart» region. A lot of attention was dedicated to the design of a unique Digitrans Hub which will become a comprehensive e-platform for various parties involved in the initiative to come together and learn from each other.

On the last day of the trip, our guests went on a little «field trip» to visit the Science Park of Patras. It was quite an exciting experience, considering how many successful companies operate there.
