International awards for HUG 65+ documentary
The project “HUG 65+” responds to the need for the equal inclusion of people 65+ in the digital world. Digital illiteracy, non-elderly-friendly platforms and society‘s stereotypes about the elderly prevent people 65+ from using digital tools that would facilitate everyday life and improve their quality of life. At a time when the services of the state, banks, markets , and even medical services are being digitized, the right to equal inclusion in the digital world concerns everyone regardless of age.
Through an awareness documentary, we highlighted through real stories of older people the difficulties faced by people over 65 years old due to the transformation of almost all our daily habits and activities online, but also the needs that arise.
People over the age of 65 speak with honesty and humor about how they came (or did not come into contact with) computers and how the digitization of the state and services has changed their lives.
Digital illiteracy, non-elderly-friendly platforms and society’s stereotypes about the elderly prevent people 65+ from using digital tools that would facilitate everyday life and improve their quality of life. The documentary of the play “A hug for the third e-age” was awarded in international competitions winning 6 awards.
